A new King has risen through the workings of Merlin, yet again. Once more he has stowed a baby with a momentous lineage into the loving home of a loyal knight, and that child has grown into a man selected by circumstance and his ancestry for the highest service to the land: to serve as its monarch, making the decisions that will determine whether the nation will disintegrate, survive, or prosper.

To some extent the extraordinary young man’s legitimacy is doubted, for he has been elevated by a somewhat questionable claim, considering it is all hearsay from the mouth of a magician who has lost his powers and disguised himself as a fisherman clan chief in the wilderness. To prove himself the young King must quest to obtain the one artifact that can prove he is the rightful ruler of wondrous Camelot: Excalibur, the heralded sword of both of his Kingly ancestors: Uther and Arthur Pendragon, not including Mordred, who is the new King’s disreputable father.

The swordsman and Viking slayer Martain’s love interest, the mysterious and alluring Shanista was introduced in volume one of Camelot Chronicles. Will the young knight be able to win her? Or will his pursuits result in nothing but disappointment, with nothing but his friends, the bard Varnell among them, to be his only comforts? Will Guinevere be able to adapt to a role on the periphery? Shall the former Queen still have value as a counselor as she lives out her days in semi-retirement? Or shall the slow decay of old age leave her a faint reminder of her former energetic command? These and many more questions will be answered by the second installment of the yearly serial released in 2022: The Lion of Camelot; Camelot Chronicles Volume Two! Volume Three will be announced shortly.

Though outlandishly confident out of necessity, Robert Murray is a gracious individual who enjoys interacting with his fans, and appreciates compliments to the highest degree. His books are released more in a philanthropic than a commercial spirit, and he hopes the works serve to enrich the minds of their readers, teaching them to treat their bodies as temples that house the holy spirit of their spiritual beings, that they may augment through physical and intellectual practices.

Any review published of his work is likely to draw his eye, but in case a reader wants to insure their message is received, they may always correspond freely with Robert, please allowing ample time for a response. One caveat is that the author does not generally want to answer questions about plot that are not specifically mentioned in the text, for in the future that would quote could be used as evidence of the literature’s intended meaning, when the response to the question may have been in error. The books themselves though are carefully, though serendipitously constructed, so they shall remain the sole authority. Criticism is acceptable, especially if it has the truth on its side, but let it be known Robert is capable of a devastating rejoinder, or simply ignoring any message altogether if the tone is unacceptable.

Mr. Murray is very much interested in visual art literally drawn off his work. The way William Blake turned Dante’s Inferno into pictures, Robert would love for his vision of Camelot to be continuously reproduced by every generation of artist. Plays, whether meant for the screen or not, based on the material, may also be considered for approval. An interactive video game is the author’s biggest dream, and any overtures on this front would be listened to attentively. Mr. Murray respects the intelligence and education of his audience, and hope everyone who reads his work finds it a positive investment of their time, and not just a mild amusement, he loves everyone who buys his book.
